Jo Harrop

Jo Harrop (singer) and Greg Soussan (guitar) are a unique sounding duo with a vast repetoire, ranging from 1920's jazz standards to present day, including some well written original songs, and interesting covers. Influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and Norah Jones.

Jo's velvety voice is accompanied perfectly by Greg's cool, funky guitar style; this duo are perfect for any intimate setting or chilled party, or can add musicians for a bigger sound.

What people say...

It is hard to compare Jo Harrop to any other singers, her voice is unique. There are hints of Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Julie London, and many say Cleo Laine, but she really does have her own sound and style, jazz with soul, soul with jazz

What can I say other than that the lissome lady is 'A class act?' I'd never heard Jo live but hearing whispers on the Jazz Grapevine, I was delighted to discover that she was as good as they all said she was.

This girl is a real treasure!
An extraordinary singer

When Jo sang Too Darn Hot...Just as well there was ice cream on the menu!

Sauntering onto the stage, looking like she’d step out of a 60’s fashion shoot, was the alluring chanteuse Jo Harrop. If She could sing half as good as she looked, (Carla Bruni meets Sandie Shaw) then we were all in for a sterling night. No worries here, this girl was born to sing jazz! Jo has all the emotional warmth and sensibility to melt the chilliest of hearts, and her laid back charm implies the right sort of tact she naturally has for her engaging take on soul jazz. Undeniable star quality!
